but i saw this guy tonight at a coffee shop sitting across from a girl and he was on his phone for like 45 minutes. Why do we spend so much time always on the phone these days but never really acknowledging the people we come in to contact with. Why is it so weird to say hi to a stranger or ask someone you dont know how they are doing? We are so in touch yet so disconnected.
Becoming a minister of grace requires giving grace to the everyone we come in to contact with, not just the people in our "five"

Welcome to the world of blogging. As I was called the "self-important". Haha. These are some great thoughts...
you need a new picture and a new blog, sir.
So. Dave. Let me throw this at you and see if you know where I'm coming from. So people will talk with someone for 45 minutes on the phone but can't do, say, 5 minutes of face-to-face time. Could this be compared to people who document their daily lives in a blog for others to read? In doing that, they then don't have to go spend the time retelling it to the friends they encounter throughout the day. Or, for a more solid example, I was just talking to you online and you said "I'm going to bed, I have to get up early. If you need more from me you can go read my blog." My only hope is that when you are done reading this, you feel compelled to call me and tell me about your day.
